Carrotmob’s First Manhattan Event and Eco Art Productions, Inc.

The first Manhattan Carrotmob will begin with a kick-off party on January 13, 2010 at Gallery 151, at 311 East 11th Street. Carrotmob is a network of consumers that buys products in order to reward companies that make socially-responsible business decisions. Businesses compete with one another to see who can do the most good, and then the network of consumers buys products in order to reward whichever business made the strongest commitment to improve the world. It’s a "buycott", the opposite of a boycott.

To gain support, Carrotmobbers have planned a kick-off party. This party will take place at the new, environmentally friendly condominium building maintained by Gallery 151, a space for eco-art. This free, public event on January 13, 2010 will feature a graffiti-style exhibit by artist LA 2, SHARP, and ERO. There will also be a live graffiti art demonstration with a local DJ.

There have been over 45 Carrotmobs in over 11 countries and we are so excited to be participating in the first ever Carrotmob in NYC. Check us out at ecoartproductions.com.
